When I visited Australia almost two years ago, I visited the Ron Mueck exhibit at an art museum in Brisbane. Mueck’s sculptures are people, either very big or very small. The details are all accounted for and the ability to make it lifelike is surreal.

Mueck’s work seems to be the inspiration for the new video from St. Vincent, directed by Hiro Murai. The scale and detail of the sculptures is perfectly captured in the video for “Cheerleader,” in which St. Vincent herself is the sculpture. Albeit, one that seems to be alive.
