If you haven’t heard, Adele won an armful of Grammy® awards at the 46th annual telecast on Sunday evening to the surprise of absolutely NO ONE except perhaps the singer herself. She gave enough “fank you’s” to make me forget the snoozefest of a show and recall the cockney accents of select characters in Mary Poppins. (Hey, at least they could escape on to cartoon carousel ponies. Grammy® viewers had nothing but Ms. Atkins (Adele) and Chris Brown singing and dancing with the grace of one.)
It is hard to believe the producers of this terribly done show had even thought of Whitney Houston—hands down, popular music’s best vocalist ever—what with all the terrible mash-ups and country music. (We’re talking about, you Taylor Swift—who never, ever, manages to sound good.)
Ugh…
