Do you remember Waiting to Exhale? I was 8. My parents were freshly divorced. I hadn’t seen the movie but my mom had the soundtrack and she played it non-stop. Later, I found out ladies were burning shit and cutting off their hair. Awesome.

I forgot the soundtrack features songs by Ms. Houston, Toni Braxton, Brandy, TLC, Mary J. Blige, Aretha Franklin and Chaka Khan. I’m not mad. And, after a listen, you won’t be either!
